- China visa: 33 × 48 mm.

Passport photo specifications by country
Different countries have slightly different passport photo requirements. This tool supports the most common Indian and international standards: India 3.5×4.5 cm at 300 DPI, USA 2×2 inches, UK and Schengen 35×45 mm with light grey background, Canada 50×70 mm, China 33×48 mm.
Indian passport photo rules (Bureau of Immigration)
For Indian passport applications, the Ministry of External Affairs accepts a 3.5 × 4.5 cm photograph with the following rules: light-coloured background (white or off-white preferred), face occupies 70-80% of the frame, taken within the last 6 months, no headgear except religious headwear that doesn't cover the face, no shadows on face or background, no spectacles preferred (matte-finish glasses without flash reflection are sometimes accepted), neutral expression with mouth closed.
A4 sheet printing for Indian photo studios
If you need printed copies, this tool can arrange your photo as 4, 6, or 8 copies on a single A4 sheet (2480 × 3508 px at 300 DPI). Take the resulting JPEG to any photo studio or print shop in India — they'll print on glossy 4×6 photo paper for ₹10-20. This works out to ₹2-5 per copy, far cheaper than the ₹50-100 per set most "passport photo" booths charge.
Common rejection reasons at PSK appointments
Rejected passport photos at Indian Passport Seva Kendra appointments typically fail for: photo printed on regular paper instead of photo paper, white balance issue (skin tone too yellow or pink), shadow visible behind the head, glasses with reflection or tinted lenses, hair covering the eyebrows, head tilted more than 5 degrees, photo more than 6 months old.

FAQ
Will the printed size match exactly?
The output is rendered at 300 DPI, the standard for ID-photo printing. When printed without resizing, dimensions match exactly.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser; nothing leaves your device.
Why is my photo cropped?
Most cameras shoot in 4:3 or 3:2 aspect; passport-photo ratios are different, so we centre-crop to fit. Make sure your face is centered when shooting.
