How to take a signature photo for online forms

Sign on a plain white sheet of A4 paper using a black gel pen or fine-tip black marker. Photograph the sheet under bright, even light from directly above (a desk lamp aimed at the paper works). Keep the paper flat — fold lines or wrinkles will show up as grey shadows.
